About Shingle Roofing Boise
Shingle Roofing Boise is a shingle roofing specialist serving Boise and the Treasure Valley. We handle asphalt shingle installation, repair, and replacement — architectural, 3-tab, and Class 4 impact-resistant lines — along with algae and moss cleaning, storm and hail damage response, and insurance claim documentation, all focused specifically on shingle roofing.
What we build to
A shingle roof looks simple from the street and most of what determines whether it lasts is what happens before the new shingles ever go down. We do a full tear-off on every replacement — never a roof-over on a second layer — because it is the only way to actually inspect and fix deck damage underneath. We fasten and seal to manufacturer temperature and wind-rated specs rather than a builder-grade minimum, and we pull the reroofing permit as part of the job rather than leaving it to you. See Boise's shingle reroofing permit requirements.
Why this climate matters
The Treasure Valley sees a real, seasonal hail corridor — Pacific moisture colliding with the terrain around the valley produces severe thunderstorm cells from May through August, peaking in June and July. For shingles specifically, that hail strips granules and exposes the asphalt mat to UV, often insurance-eligible damage that is easy to mistake for ordinary aging from the ground. See storm & hail damage shingle repair.
The other half is thermal cycling: summer highs over 100°F against hard winter freezes, one of the wider annual swings in the Pacific Northwest. That cycling fatigues the self-sealing adhesive strip between shingle courses specifically — the real mechanism behind most wind-related shingle blow-off — and shortens real-world lifespan to roughly 15–25 years even on shingles rated for 25–30. See how long shingles actually last here.
How we price
We publish cost ranges rather than making you call to find out whether you can afford us — the 2026 cost guide lays out per-square pricing by shingle tier, and the cost calculator works from your own roof size. Estimates are free and on-site, and you get a written per-square price with tear-off and any deck repair broken out as separate lines so you can compare it honestly against anyone else's bid.
If a repair is the better spend than a full replacement, we say so on the estimate visit — including when that means the smaller job for us.
What we will not do
We will not roof over a deck we have not inspected, we will not offer to waive your insurance deductible — that is fraud, not a discount, per Idaho Department of Insurance guidance — and we will not tell you a roof needs replacing when a repair would do. We also will not publish reviews we have not received or credentials we do not hold — if you do not see star ratings on this site, that is deliberate.
